France’s largest automaker – Peugeot – and the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) have recently teamed up on a global scale through a new partnership deal – promoted here by the No. 1 Novak Djokovic and starting in 2016.
The partners also decided to solidify their PR and marketing statements with a promotional video that people might not understand – depicting the Serbian professional tennis player holding the top position in men’s single tennis as he plays against… himself. And yes, he’s also winning. While we search for a meaningful reason to the promo – other than using a celebrity – let’s see what the deal is all about. The French carmaker will be the Official Car of the ATP World Tour, also becomes a Platinum partner of the annual tennis calendar at more than 20 ATP World Tour tournaments and in excess of 500 vehicles – from the 508, 3008, 5008 and Expert Teepee ranegs – will be used to cater for transportation needs of the players, officials, VIPs, as well as the general public throughout the events.
“Peugeot has a rich history in our sport and this long-term partnership with the ATP World Tour will cement their position as the preeminent car brand in tennis,”commented hris Kermode, ATP Executive Chairman President. “As we witness record audiences worldwide, we’re delighted to attract such a reputable international brand as Peugeot and welcome them to our growing portfolio of partners.” The French company has been a long standing partner of the sport, having among its brand ambassadors the likes of ATP World No.1 Novak Djokovic, David Ferrer, Juan Martin del Potro, David Goffin, Jeremy Chardy, Benoit Paire, Tommy Robredo, Gilles Simon, Alize Cornet and Belinda Bencic.
