Famous TV host and even more famous petrol-head Jay Leno just got on the Nurburgring with the fastest Jag ever, the XKR-S.
Jay Leno recently had the privilege to take the XKR-S on the Nurburgring track and had the time of his life trying to break every single record possible. Which didn’t happen, but Leno can still be proud of himself after he went around the track in less than 10 minutes, 8.41 to be more precise.
The most extreme Jaguar ever, the XKR-S, is powered by a 5.0 liter supercharged V8 engine, developing 550 HP and a maximum 502 lb-ft of torque, with a 0 to 60 mph acceleration time of just 4.2 seconds and a top speed of 186 mph.
Even though it seems like every man’s dream to own the new XKR-S, we still don’t understand how can Jaguar hit so low in search of speed and ultimate performance and putting away everything the brand stands for just for going fast around the Nurburgring. And it isn’t pretty fast actually. In Nissan GT-R territory the “fast” Jag would be eaten alive in every single chapter.
