[VIDEO] Official – Meet the Aston Martin DP-100 Vision Gran Turismo
Aston Martin has officially pulled the wraps off the new DP-100 Vision Gran Turismo during the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The brand new Aston Martin DP-100 Vision Gran Turismo has been officially presented to the public during the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed, ahead of its Gran Turismo 6 debut scheduled for next month. The model in question has been developed in-house of the course of 6 months and it’s basically a styling exercise. We can see some influences from the CC100 and from the One-77, despite the radical styling, and one thing is for sure, this is a definite head turner.
“When I first came face to face with this car at the Aston Martin Headquarters in Gaydon, UK, I was at a loss for words seeing the level of perfection in its design. I was surprised by the bold proposal of the car being the first midship layout model in Aston Martin history. And while it is clean and classy in design, it is also very emotional. Not only that, there was this future Aston Martin in front of me, that was so detailed it could be released on the market pretty much as is”, said the Gran Turismo creator and president of the Polyphony Digital Inc, Kazunori Yamauchi.
The Aston Martin DP-100 Vision Gran Turismo is a mid-engined supercar which has been equipped with a twin turbo V12 engine. The unit is producing a total output of 800 HP and this is sent to the 20-nch alloy wheels, which have been wrapped in Michelin tires. The supercar will become available as a free download in Gran Turismo 6 starting from next month. More details on it remain unknown for the moment.
