Opel has recently released the first promotional video with its newest model, the small Adam.
After the Opel Adam has been officially presented to the public just a day before writing this article, the small model is once again being placed into the spotlights, this time with the German based automaker releasing the first promotional video with the vehicle. The Opel Adam is a future rival to the Fiat 500 and the MINI Cooper on the European auto market and the model is using the same platform as the Opel Corsa, being 3,700 mm long, 1,720 mm wide and riding on a wheelbase of just 2,311 mm.
At first, the Opel Adam will be offered with three petrol efficient engines, the 1.2 liter with 70 HP, the 1.4 liter with 87 HP and the 1.4 liter with 100 HP, mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Opel says that all engines are getting the ecoFELX technology package and the start/stop system but, eventually, the model will receive a whole new engine lineup, with turbochargers, direct injections and six-speed manual transmissions. The Opel Adam will be officially presented to the public in a world premiere in September, during the Paris Motor Show, and it will arrive in showrooms in January 2013.
