The German based car manufacturer Opel has released a teaser video with the Adam model, which will hit the market in early 2013.
After starting its life as a simple rumor and under the Junior name, the Opel Adam is once again being placed into the spotlights, this time with the carmaker releasing an official teaser video with its smallest future model. According to the car manufacturer, the Opel Adam will be 3.70 meters long which means that it will slot just below the Corsa model, which will provide its shortened version of the platform, along with some engines.
The upcoming Opel Adam is expected to go against the Volkswagen Up! and its sister cars, the Skoda Citigo and the Seat Mii, and GM’s creation will be only 15 inches longer than the Up!, being able to seat four adult occupants which will travel quite comfortably. The Opel Adam will hit the market with a whole new engine lineup, made out of both three- and four-cylinder units, ranging from 1.0 to 1.4 liters, which will meet the Euro 6 emission standards. Thanks to direct injection technology, the engines will be 10 percent more fuel efficient. The Opel Adam will be officially presented to the public at the 2012 Paris Motor Show in September and it will be launched early next year.
