Opel has recently released the first official video with the new Cascada model, presenting it as the perfect cruiser for a young couple.
After it was officially unveiled just a week ago, the new Opel Cascada is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the German based automaker releasing the first video with the model, which will make Americans even more excited as Dan Akerson, GM CEO, wants to bring the Cascada in the United States. The Opel Cascada is 4,697 mm long and 1,840 mm wide and the model is riding on a combination of the new Astra J and Insignia platforms.
The Cascada is a four-seat convertible taking its name from the Spanish word for waterfall. The engine lineup found on the drop-top includes the 1.6 liter turbo petrol MGE with its 168 BHP and 280 Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The company will also offer a 1.4 liter petrol with 138 BHP, along with a 2.0 liter diesel generating 163 BHP. Opel says that the new Cascada will arrive at the company’s dealerships in Europe in early 2013.
