Opel has released the first teaser video of the upcoming Corsa OPC which will be officially presented to the public in a premiere during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, this March.
In case you were expecting the new Corsa OPC to hit the market for some weird reason after being disappointed by the Renault Clio RS or by the Ford Fiesta ST, don’t worry, because the small German hot hatch is just around the corner, as the company has recently announced, as it will be officially presented to the public this March, in a premiere, during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
The clip posted below is meant to offer us a preview of the upcoming compact hot hatch and in it we can see Karl Thomas Neumann, the Opel CEO, meeting Joachim “Jocke;” Winkelhock, the race driver, for a quite test drive behind the wheel of the Corsa E OPC, at the Opel Test Center in Dudenhofen so if you want to check out the small car in action, you can scroll down and hit the play button.
The new Opel Corsa OPC is expected to pack a 1.6 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine under its hood, which should be producing a total output of 210 HP (154 kW). This should be enough to allow the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 6.8 seconds and to help it reach 230 km/h (143 mph). More details on the hot hatch are limited at this time and will be announced during the Swiss automotive event.
