The German automaker is gearing up for its most important Geneva Motor Show reveal – the teasing game is on for the new GT Concept.
The model will officially have its world premiere in front of the public during the 2016 Geneva Motor Show and it appears the rumor mill was spot on when we presented you the reports of the upcoming Opel prototype. This first teaser has a video that as per usual reveals absolutely nothing – it features Opel chief executive Karl-Thomas Neumann calling our attention to “take a look at Opel with a fresh pair of eyes” as the automaker explains it is ready for “the next stage of its sculptural design philosophy.” Little to no details have been given about the project but we could be treated to an update of the Monza Concept and with the new study delivering an aggressive yet stylish 2+2-seat coupe or four door sedan.
By the way, it is also reported the maker would decided whether to deliver a production version of the concept based on the crowd reaction in Geneva. If green-lit, the concept could morph into an available model sometimes beyond 2017. It’s not going to be a model to break the bank though, as it will use an assortment of the familiar roster of four-cylinder engines and its starting price would be of about 25,000 euros. The GT Concept teasing game is expected to continue on January 21st while the full – in the metal – reveal of the model will take place on March 3 as the Geneva Motor Show kicks off.
