A Pagani Huayra supercar has been recently spotted in California and, if you don’t believe us that it was real, check out the video posted below.
Pagani has announced just a few days ago that the Huayra will be launched in the United States next year because the supercar will have to suffer some modifications in order to satisfy U.S. safety regulators, like the install of “smart” airbags. Pagani will spend an additional 4 million euros in order to install these airbags and the supercar will hit the over-seas dealerships by June, 2013. Only 15 units of the Huayra will be available in the United States.
The Pagani Huayra is powered by a Mercedes-Benz AMG V12 engine with dual turbochargers, which is producing a total output of 700 HP, with a peak torque of 1,000 Nm (740 lb-ft). The Italian supercar can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3.5 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 370 km/h (230 mph). The Pagani Huayra is capable of withstanding 1.5G of lateral acceleration and its engine is mated to a seven-speed sequential transmission. The supercar is priced at 1,150,000 USD and it has been in production since 2011. You can check out the video with the Pagani Huayra spotted in California below.
