The first real comparison between the “holy trinity” of hypercars has been hosted recently.
Ever since the Ferrari LaFerrari, the McLaren P1 and the Porsche 918 Spyder have been introduced, more than two years ago, petrol heads have debated which one is faster, which one is better and which is the ultimate dream ride between the three. However, until now, there was no exact answer as the car manufacturers couldn’t come to an agreement when it came to placing the exotic vehicles on the rack for a proper comparison.
Oh, how things have changed and despite the three carmakers are still refusing to put together a proper comparison for the hypercars, this has taken place recently, on the Silverstone track, where a British owner of the LaFerrari, P1 and 918 Spyder has decided to take things into his own hands. We won’t be spoilers and tell you about the first part of the video and which is faster because you have to check it out for yourselves.
Meanwhile, we will remind you that the Ferrari LaFerrari has a 6.3 liter naturally aspirated V12 engine under its hood, backed up by an electric motor. The total output sent to the RWD is 950 HP (708 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque. The McLaren P1 is making use of a 3.8l twin turbo V8 engine, with an electric motor as well, for a total of 903 HP (664 kW) and 978 Nm (722 lb-ft) of torque, sent to the rear wheels. The Porsche 918 Spyder is the only one offered with an AWD system and it has a 4.6l naturally aspirated V8 along with two electric motors, producing a total of 887 HP (661 kW) and 1,280 Nm (940 lb-ft) of torque.
