The French based automaker Peugeot has released two new videos with the 208 GTI, one of the most expected hot hatches of the year.
Peugeot is getting ready or release the final production version of the 208 GTI a few months after the concept variant was unveiled. Initial rumors were saying that Peugeot will bring the 208 GTI to the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, but it seems that the carmaker has forgotten all about it and all eyes were on the 2008 crossover. Even if the car manufacture has released two new teaser videos with the Peugeot 208 GTI, we still don’t know anything about the final production version of the hot hatch.
As a quick reminder, the Peugeot 208 GTI Concept is powered by the company’s 1.6 liter turbocharged engine, shared by the RCZ THP 200, which is now developing a total output of 197 horsepower and it has a peak torque of 175 Nm (203 lb-ft). The unit is mated to a six-speed manual transmission which is helping the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than seven seconds. Additional details on the Peugeot 208 GTI remain known for the moment.
