Peugeot has recently released a new promotional video with the 208 GTI concept car, ahead of its official debut at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show on the 6th of March.
After revealing the 208 GTI concept in February, announcing that the model will be officially presented to the public in Geneva on the 6th of March, the French based automaker has decided that time has come to place the hot hatch into the spotlights one more time, by releasing a promotional video. Even if the Peugeot 208 GTI is once again ending up in our news, the car manufacturer didn’t release any extra details on the model, so we will have to wait for the Geneva Motor Show to find out more about it, and most importantly, to find out whether it will be produced.
As a reminder, the Peugeot 208 GTI Concept is powered by the company’s 1.6 liter turbocharged engine, shared by the RCZ THP 200, which is now developing a total output of 197 horsepower and it has a peak torque of 175 Nm (203 lb-ft). The unit is mated to a six-speed manual transmission which is helping the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than seven seconds.
