A new promotional video is starring the Peugeot 308 GTi and it’s highlighting some of its features.
The Peugeot 308 GTi is an interesting ride but does it have what it needs in order to compete with some of the most popular rides in the segment such as the Volkswagen Golf GTI, the Ford Focus ST, the Honda Civic Type R and others? Well, the automaker certainly believes so and in order to promote it, it has released a clever video, in which the hot hatch is being chased by the American Mafia and by the Yakuza, with the regular dose of “fun”.
As a small reminder, the cheapest version of the Peugeot 308 GTi will be setting you back for at least 37,200 euros, on the Old Continent. Go for the two-tone red and black theme and you will have to pay another 1,800 euros. Deliveries of the car will begin this fall and this is using a 1.6 liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. The unit is offered in two outputs, 250 HP (184 kW) and 270 HP (200 kW), with the torque figure standing at 330 Nm (224 lb-ft) in both. Power is sent to the FWD through a 6-speed manual transmission, allowing it to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.2 seconds or through an automatic, lowering the sprint time by 0.2 seconds.
