The new Porsche Carrera has been recently taken around the famous German track, the Nurburgring, where it managed to complete a lap in just 7 minutes and 37.9 seconds.
According to the German based automaker, the Porsche 911 Carrera S in question has been driven by Timo Kluck and the sports car was faster than the 2010 Porsche 911 Turbo, which completed the same lap in 7 minutes and 39 seconds. The new Porsche 911 Carrera S is powered by a 3.8 liter engine which is producing a total output of 394 horsepower (400 PS / 294 kW) and it has a peak torque of 440 Nm (324 lb-ft). This is allowing the German sports car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 4.1 seconds or with the SC package in just 3.9 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 302 km/h (188 mph).
