Porsche has recently brought a prototype version of the new 918 Spyder to Moscow, Russia, at an event aimed to attract potential buyers for the hybrid supercar.
The German based automaker Porsche is placing the 918 Spyder into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of a video, which is showing a prototype version of the hybrid supercar on the track, in Moscow, Russia. The event was exclusive and it was aimed towards attracting potential buyers into the Porsche 918 Spyder, which will be produced in just 918 units and each of them will cost 845,000 USD, so you will need some money in your bank account in order to drive this beast home.
Power to the Porsche 918 Spyder is being provided by a 4.6 liter naturally aspirated V8 gasoline engine, backed up by two electric motors, each of them on one axle. The gasoline burner is good for 608 HP (447 kW) and the electric motors are coming with 286 HP (210 kW). The total output stands at 887 HP (652 kW) and between 917 Nm (676 lb-ft) and 1,289 Nm (944 lb-ft) of torque. The 0t o100 km/h sprint takes just 2.8 seconds in Race Hybrid mode and top speed stands at 345 km/h (214 mph).
Even if it is not available in the United States, Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-in Hybrid is doing really well in Europe and Japan, more than 33,000 models having been sold around the world.
