[VIDEO] Porsche 918 Spyder driven by Jay Leno image

One of the most famous petrol heads and car collectors out there, Jay Leno, has recently went for a spin in the brand new and impressive Porsche 918 Spyder.

Jay Leno has recently had the opportunity of going for a spin in the impressive Porsche 918 Spyder as the new hybrid supercar is the star to his latest video review. Keep in mind that Leno has recently taken delivery of the McLaren P1, so chances are that the British vehicle could actually be better than the German one. We won’t say anything about the LaFerrari because no one seems to be reviewing it these days.

The Porsche 918 Spyder has been officially presented to the public six months ago, during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. The model in question will be produced in 918 units and this is a mid-engine and all-wheel drive hybrid supercar, coming with a 4.6 liter V8 engine and a 6.8 kWh liquid cooled lithium-ion battery. The internal combustion unit is rated at 608 HP (453 kW) and 528 Nm (389 lb-ft) of torque, while the two electric motors are providing an extra 279 HP (208 kW). The total output is 887 HP (661 kW) and 1,275 Nm (940 lb-ft) of torque, enough for a 0 to 100 km/h acceleration made in 2.6 seconds and a 345 km/h (214 mph) top speed.
