A new video with the Porsche 918 Spyder is giving us an onboard ride in the impressive hybrid supercar.
Despite being introduced more than a year ago in its final production form, almost every appearance of the Porsche 918 Spyder, or its two main rivals, the Ferrari LaFerrari and the McLaren P1, is still attracting a lot of curious eyes and, most importantly, camera lenses. The newest clip with the German ride is giving us an onboard ride in the model and, as a quick suggestion, don’t forget to plug in your headphones in order to hear its V8 engine roar.
Speaking of the engine, you probably know by now that power is being provided by a 4.6 liter V8, which is rated at 608 HP (453 kW) and 528 Nm (389 lb-ft) of torque. The hybrid supercar also has two electric motors, providing it with 279 HP (208 kW). The total output of the powertrain stands at 887 HP (661 kW) and an impressive 1,275 Nm (940 lb-ft), enough for a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint made in 2.6 seconds and a top speed of 345 km/h (214 mph).
