And he sure knows how to have fun in the impressive German hypercar.
Spa Francorchamps seems to be the place of choice for driving expensive, rare and powerful vehicles these days and after we have seen our fair share of hypercars taking hot laps on the famous track, time has come to check out this particular 918 Spyder. The German hybrid vehicle has its owner behind the wheel and he is taking a fast lap on the track, with two cameras recording all the action.
Porsche has unveiled the 918 Spyder, in its final production form, almost two years ago, during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. The model has been put together in just 918 units and all of them have managed to find new owners, despite the steep price. The hypercar has a two-door roadster body style, with a mid-engine and all-wheel drive layout, taking its power from a 4.6 liter V8 engine, backed up by two electric motors. The internal combustion unit is rated at 608 HP (453 kW) and 528 Nm (389 lb-ft) of torque, while the electric motors are producing a total of 279 HP. The powertrain is capable of sending 887 HP (661 kW) and 1,275 Nm (940 lb-ft) of torque to the all-wheel drive, through the 7-speed PDK. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint takes just 2.5 seconds and top speed stands at 340 km/h (210 mph).
