The production version of the Porsche 918 Spyder has recently leaked in what seems to be the first images and a video.
After the pre-production version of the Porsche 918 Spyder was officially revealed just a few days before writing this article, painted in the Martini Racing colors, the supercar is once again being placed into the spotlights by Biser3a, a Lebanese car blog, who has posted the first images and a video of the production version. The final shape of the Porsche 918 Spyder seems to be similar to the 918 Spyder concept which was revealed two years ago in Geneva, except for some minor details.
The Porsche 918 Spyder will be powered by a hybrid powertrain, which will use a 4.6 liter V8 engine producing 570 horsepower, two electric motors and a seven-speed dual clutch transmission. The first electric motor will power the front wheels and the second one will be a part of the transmission assembly, sending its power to the rear axle. The combined output of hybrid powertrain will be 770 horsepower and the model will be able to travel for at least 25 km in a full electric mode at speeds up to 150 km/h.
