The German based automaker Porsche is getting closer and closer to the official unveil of the brand new 918 Spyder, during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, but before this will happen, the company is making sure that everything is ok with the hybrid supercar, so the model continues to be spied on public roads. The footage posted below is showing a Porsche 918 Spyder, with the Martini Livery on its body, in Stuttgart, close to the company’s headquarters.
The Porsche 918 Spyder will weigh 1,640 kg and it will get an independent all-wheel drive system. Power will be provided by a 4.6 liter eight-cylinder engine, which will produce 608 HP. The unit is derived from the RS Spyder and it can be revved up to 9,150 rpm. The electric motor is fitted on the front axle and it’s providing 95 HP. The total output stands at 887 HP, sent to the wheels through a seven-speed PDK. Additional details on the model will be announced during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, in September.
