The German based automaker Porsche has recently announced that the 918 Spyder has been tested for almost 1,6 million kilometers.
The brand new Porsche 918 Spyder is one of the hottest vehicles ever to come out from the company and, in order to make sure that everything is in its place and it will work just like it should, the German based carmaker is severely testing it. In fact, the company has counted almost 1,6 million kilometers in road testing the new 918 Spyder, which is quite an achievement, and in order to celebrate the number, Porsche has just released a new video with the hybrid supercar.
The upcoming Porsche 918 Spyder will be powered by a 4.6 liter eight-cylinder engine, which will produce 608 HP. The unit is derived from the RS Spyder and it can be revved up to 9,150 rpm. The electric motor is fitted on the front axle and it’s providing 95 HP. The total output stands at 887 HP, sent to the wheels through a seven-speed PDK. The 1,640 kg supercar will rival the Ferrari LaFerrari and the McLaren P1, and it will be officially presented to the public during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show, in September.
