Another impressive drag race, held between the Porsche 918 Spyder and the Lamborghini Aventador Roadster, is showing us which one is faster.
There is a big difference between a hypercar and a supercar and if you have no clue of what we are talking about, than this video is definitely worth taking a look at. It is showing a drag race between two impressive models, a Porsche 918 Spyder and a Lamborghini Aventador Roadster, in a controlled environment, with both exotic vehicles using their Launch Control feature. It’s not that hard trying to figure it out which one will eventually won because it’s all math, but we have to admit that the Aventador is sending power to the ground way better than the Porsche.
The Lamborghini Aventador has a 6.5 liter naturally aspirated V12 engine, producing 690 HP (510 kW) and 689 Nm (508 lb-ft) of torque. Power is being sent to the AWD through a seven-speed single-clutch transmission and the 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint takes 3.0 seconds. Top speed is 350 km/h (217 mph). The Porsche 918 Spyder on the other hand has 887 HP (661 kW) and 1,280 Nm (940 lb-ft) of torque, from its 4.6 liter naturally aspirated V8 engine and two electric motors. The German hypercar is also coming with AWD and power is being sent to the wheels through a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration is made in just 2.5s and top speed is 350 km/h (217 mph).
