A new video with the long gone Porsche Carrera GT will make you want such a supercar for private collection.
Did you think that Porsche vehicles aren’t really what you need, if you are a car collector, except for the 918 Spyder? Well, think again, because this video is proving otherwise and let’s not forget that the Carrera GT is being called a supercar and not a sports car, thanks to its impressive performance. But is this really what you need? Well, a POV drive of the vehicle may make you want one, so go ahead, scrolls down, click the play button and turn the volume up!
Porsche has introduced the Carrera GT back in 2004 and this has remained in production until 2007. A total of 1,270 units of the supercar have been produced and this has been offered in a two-door roadster body style. The model stands at 4,613 mm in length, 1,921 mm in width and 1,166 mm in height, with a curb weight of 1,380 kg. A 5.7 liter DOHC V10 engine can be found under its hood, capable of putting down a total of 612 HP (456 kW), at 8,000 rpm, and 590 Nm (435 lb-ft) of torque, available at 5,800 rpm. Power was sent to the rear wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration took less than 4 seconds and top speed stood at 330 km/h (205 mph). The Porsche 918 Spyder is considered to be the spiritual successor of the Carrera GT.
