Is the new Porsche Cayman GT4 better than a 911? This is the question which the guys from XCAR are trying to answer in their newest review of the impressive sports car.
The Porsche Cayman GT4 is a hot and sporty vehicle which many are saying that it will cannibalize the 911. But is this really that good? Well, the guys from XCAR are trying to answer the question in their newest review of the model which can be seen right below. We won’t be spoilers and tell you all about it because this is something you have to check for yourselves.
The Porsche Cayman GT4 has debuted in Geneva and it is bringing the suspension system and the brakes from the more powerful 911 GT3 RS. It has also received the 30 mm lowered ride height, the Sport Chrono package available as an option, the carbon fiber reinforced plastic seats and several other goodies. The most important part of the sports car is found under its hood where Porsche has added a 3.8 liter flat six-cylinder engine from the 911 Carrera S. This is capable of putting down a total of 385 HP (283 kW) and 420 Nm (310 lb-ft) of torque, sent to the wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph), the Cayman GT4 needs 4.4 seconds and top speed stands at 295 km/h (183 mph). The sports car starts from 85,779 euros in Germany.
