The German automaker hasn’t been able to stop the flurry of leaks concerning its second generation Panamera sedan, but after all, they paid for the marketing campaign – so thye just have to go along with it.
Now we have yet another teaser in the form of some quick footage – though the cat is already out of the bag since we saw the other day the model leak in broad daylight with almost no camouflage, and before that we saw it leak in a small resolution picture and – fortunately – a high resolution picture depicting the all-new interior. Well, Porsche now also claims it has on its hands the “fastest luxury sedan on Earth” and they’re willing to share the spotlight with the rest of the world on June 28 during the official premiere. To make sure they can go against the leaks, they released this new teaser, which sets the Panamera on the Nürburgring where the “fastest luxury sedan on earth” is in its right element. We get to see the car for a brief moment, though not enough for a full reveal – an chances are this is the Turbo S, as this version should of course be the quickest of the entire range.
We’re still unsure what the Panamera Turbo S will get under the hood. It could be a biturbo 4.0-liter V8, while more “mundane” models will make use of a biturbo 2.9-liter V6 and a biturbo 3.6-liter V6, along with a diesel V8 for Europe. There’s also talk of a plug in hybrid version – but we’ll see if it gets presented from the start or retained for a later reveal.
