Do not mistake this ‘80’s hair band reunion tour with “destruction”, because it’s a 27-minute video that will make a feel-good film for Porsche fans worldwide.

Porsche believes it’s been quite the rebel in the automotive industry – or at least this is what we’re getting from this new documentary that has been revealed online by the carmaker. Decades of Disruption, the 27-minute video highlighting its star power is looking to set up Porsche as a “disruptor” of the established auto trends and also a performance benchmark throughout the years (we agree way more with this last part). All of Porsche’s iconic models come to shine for a moment – from the 356 and 550 Spyder to the 911 and its turbocharged 930 version. We also see the great 959 and some cool Dakar footage, as well as the flagship models of recent times – the Carrera GT and 918 Spyder.

The company of course doesn’t lose the opportunity to sell us the Panamera – though its Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid does sound impressive both on paper and in the real world. The new flagship version of the range has been introduced at the Geneva Motor Show and its tuned 4.0-liter V8 and electric motor deliver 680 horsepower, enough to blast it to 60 mph (96 kph) in a mere 3.4 seconds. By the way – there’s no mention of things such as the 1980s models – 924, 944, or the 928. Nor is there any talk about the Boxster, the Cayenne or even the Macan…
