Porsche has released a new teaser video with the brand new Macan where the upcoming midsize SUV is being shown while being tested in California.
The Porsche Macan is probably one of the most awaited vehicles ever to be developed by the German based automaker because of its reduced size, compared to the Cayenne, smaller price, off-road abilities and unique Porsche premium feel. The model in question has been already teased, leaked and spied numerous times before so its looks is no longer a surprise for anyone reading the automotive media on a constant basis, but even so, the carmaker wants to place it into the spotlights once again, ahead of its 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show presentation.
The brand new Porsche Macan is getting an exterior design which is heavily influenced by its larger brother, the Cayenne, and it has a lowered roof, a similar dashboard and center console, a three-spoke steering wheel and some other tweaks. As far as the engine lineup goes, the entry-level version of the Porsche Macan will get a 3.0 liter turbo diesel unit under its hood. There will also be a twin turbo 3.0L V6 and a twin turbo 3.6 liter V6, along with some other engines. Additional details on the Porsche Macan will be announced this month, during the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show.
