Porsche has released a video with the new Macan which is showing some parts of the SUV’s assembly process, in Leipzig.
Porsche’s cheapest SUV, the brand new Macan, is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the carmaker releasing yet another video with the model. The footage posted below is showing part of its assembly process and some quick driving footage on the track, in another attempt to put some lights on it. The new Porsche Macan is already available for order on several markets and it was officially presented to the public during the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, being also brought to the Tokyo Motor Show.
The Porsche Macan is currently being offered in three versions, the Macan S, the Macan S Diesel and the Macan Turbo. The SUV’s cheapest variant is coming with a 3.0 liter engine under its hood, producing 340 HP (250 kW), being followed by the Macan S Diesel, with its 258 HP (190 kW). The top of the line Macan Turbo will get a 3.6 liter V6 twin turbo engine under its hood, producing 400 HP (294 kW). A new four-cylinder 2.0 liter unit is rumored to make its way onto the Macan, as an entry-level version, and this will be eventually adopted by the Boxster and Cayman too.
