Porsche has released a new video with the Macan SUV in which the model’s design is being explained.
Following its world debut during the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show, the Porsche Macan is now getting a new official video, which is explaining its design, so if you’re interested in this “chapter” you should scroll down and hit the play button. The Porsche Macan stands at 4,699 mm in length, 1,923 mm in width and 1,624 mm in height, being 146 mm shorter, 16 mm narrower and 82 mm lower than the Cayenne. The Porsche Macan will be offered with a 3.0L twin turbo engine on the Macan S, which is good for 340 HP (250 kW), mated to a 7-speed automatic.
The Macan S Diesel will be the next one in the lineup and it will take its power from a 3.0L twin turbo V6 diesel engine, generating 258 HP (190 kW) and providing a 6.3L / 100 km average fuel consumption. Last but not least there will be the Macan Turbo, the top of the line version of the model. This will get a 3.6L V6 twin turbo engine under its hood, generating 400 HP (294 kW). The 0 to 100 km/h sprint in this variant will take 4.8 seconds and the average fuel consumption will stand at 9.0L / 100 km. The Porsche Macan is based on the Audi Q5 and it will have a starting price of 57,930 EUR.
