The German automaker has been making the rounds due to numerous leaks associated with the second generation Panamera four-door coupe, but the company looks ready to end the suspense.
With this teaser out and about we’re pretty sure the new generation model is just around the corner, but here’s some footage to keep us tensed all the way until the big reveal. This is a short, but fortunately revealing teaser – depicting the rear end of Stuttgart’s high-performance sedan. As rumored over and over, the designers took their inspiration from the nice-looking Panamera Sport Turismo concept that was unveiled way back in 2012. There’s a good look at the new and enhanced taillights which look considerably sportier than the ones on the bulky outgoing Panamera, with a different approach that includes interconnection of the light clusters to deliver a bespoke LED rear light signature. We also caught a glimpse of what look like pronounced rear fenders and a rakish rear window for even more dynamism.
We already know the Panamera has taken a lot of heat for its bulking rear end but as far as we can see in the teaser the designers have done a finer job this time around. Porsche hasn’t revealed any juicy technical details, only saying the 2017 Panamera “combines the performance of a thoroughbred sports car with the comfort of a luxury saloon.” We can expect more teasers to roll out before the actual introduction takes place, as Porsche likes the buzz around its models.
