The brand new Porsche 911 Targa will be officially presented to the public during the 2014 NAIAS in Detroit, as the carmaker has recently teased the model for the over-seas automotive event.
Just a day after the new generation of the Porsche 911 Targa has leaked in its first representative image, the model in question is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of a teaser video. The footage is officially announcing the debut of the Porsche 911 Targa at the 2014 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit as the model in question will be arriving at the event next week.
The Porsche 911 Targa, based on the 991, has been inspired from the original 1965 Targa and it will be getting the removable center roof section, the large B-pillar, the fixed glass rear window and some other minor tweaks. The engine options will include the 350 HP (257 kW) and 390 Nm (288 lb-ft) of torque 3.4 liter flat six-cylinder unit, in the regular Targa, while the Targa S will get a 400 HP (294 kW) and 440 Nm (324 lb-ft) of torque 3.6 liter flat-six. More details on the sports car will be announced in Detroit.
