The Chinese Israeli car manufacturer Qoros has recently announced its plans to officially pull the wraps off the new 3 Hatch next month, during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
The second model in Qoros’ lineup, the 3 Hatch, will be officially presented to the public during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, in March, as the company has recently announced. The model in question will be based on the 3 Sedan, which has been named the safest car tested by the Euro NCAP in 2013. The new Qoros 3 Hatch is still a compact car, which is offering a high level of safety, just like the one of the Qoros 3 Sedan, along with relatively modern engines and competitive prices.
The Qoros 3 Hatch will be coming with a four-cylinder 126 HP and 155 Nm engine, which will be mated to a six-speed manual transmission and it will allow it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 11.6 seconds. On higher end versions, the engine will be getting a DCT double clutch, six-speed automatic transmission, which will climb its 0 to 100 km/h sprint time to 12.6 seconds. The manual transmission will allow it to return 6.3L / 100 km of fuel while with the DCT, the average fuel consumption will stand at 6.1L / 100 km.
The second engine to become available on the new 3 Hatch will be the 1.6 liter turbocharged four-cylinder, with its 156 HP and 210 Nm of torque, offered between 1,750 and 5,000 rpm. The unit is mated to the same optional six-speed DCT transmission, and it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 9.7 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 210 km/h. The average fuel consumption stands at 6.5L / 100km in this version. The Qoros 3 Hatch will be produced un Changshu, China.
