The Chinese based automaker Qoros has released a new video which is previewing a future compact sporty SUV, named the HQ3 Cross.
The newest Chinese car manufacturer brand is named Qoros and the first model to go on sale with the Qoros badges on its body will be the GQ3 sedan, getting ready to be launched on its local auto market in late 2013. The Qoros GQ3 sedan will also arrive in Europe in early 2014. But while we thought that Qoros will remain a domestic market player with its GQ3 sedan, the company thinks different and a new compact SUV, named the HQ3 Cross, is getting ready to be unveiled soon.
The Qoros HQ3 Cross will ride on the same platform as the GQ3 sedan which was developed in collaboration with Magna Steyr. The sporty compact SUV will be 4.6 meters long and it’s expected to get a 1.6 liter four-cylinder TGDI engine under its hood, co-developed with Chery, which will be mated to either a six-speed manual or to a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. Additional details on the Qoros HQ3 Cross are limited for the moment but the automaker says that a new performance SUV, named the XQ3, will be launched by 2015.
