The Ram truck owners are now the holders of the Guinness World Record for the biggest pickup truck parade to have played around the famous Nurburgring in Germany.
The Ram brand was first outed back in 1981 and has since been a constant presence on the US market – with millions of light and heavy-duty trucks produced. Some of them even found their way across the pond to Europe, where on November 5 – more than one thousand of them – paraded on the Nurburgring. This is not only the largest parade on the famed German track – but it’s also the biggest pickup truck parade ever. The former Guinness World Records accolade on the subject was credited to a 638-vehicle event from Saltillo, Mexico, that took place in July 2015.
Organized by AutoGlobalTrade AG, the event featured 1,152 owners – with rare vehicles on the lot such as examples from the first- and second- generation Rams. This has to cater for one of the craziest ideas ever – European owners of an American product, a truck nonetheless making its way on the most famous Old Continent track known as the Green Hell. By the way, there’s a 2018 model year for the Ram 1500 paving the way for an all-new generation – with the heavy duty version then expected to arrive sometime after 2019.
