Land Rover has officially unveiled the new Range Rover Sport SVR ahead of its public debut scheduled for later on this weekend, during the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Do you remember the Range Rover Sport RS teased by the British based automaker several times? Well it seems that the model in question will not be known as the “RS” but as the Range Rover Sport SVR. The powerful crossover has been recently unveiled but sadly the vehicle still has its body wrap as seen by our spy photographers several times now.
Even so, we can still see its aggressive front fascia with its larger air intakes and mesh grille or the four tailpipe exhaust system, the integrated diffuser into the new rear bumper or the massive alloy wheels covering the high performance braking system. Land Rover still didn’t release any interesting specifications on the model in question but it seems that it will indeed come with a 5.0 liter V8 engine which should be good for 550 HP (405 kW) and 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque, 40 HP (29 kW) and 55 Nm (40 lb-ft) more than the Range Rover Sport Supercharged. More details on the Range Rover Sport SVR will be announced at Goodwood.
