The Italian exotic brand is making sure we’re not forgetting their second-only SUV, after the Rambo Lambo, is coming soon in the form of the Urus, a high-performance crossover.
Everyone’s been expecting the new Lamborghini Urus – a model that best fits the super sports SUV niche, along with models such as the Porsche Cayenne Turbo and Alfa Rome Stelvio Q – for quite some time, especially since the concept has been presented a while ago. We already know the Sant’Agata Bolognese factory is just about ready to kick off production, and now the company has decided to ease the wait with a short video trailer, while also announcing the crucial release date – December 4th, 2017. The short trailer has been dubbed #SinceWeMadeItPossible, and comes with its own sincewemadeitpossible.com website.
The footage fittingly looks at the heritage of the Italian brand, with fleeting glimpses of classics such as the Miura, the Countach, as well as the original LM002 SUV, while also leading towards “futuristic designs” and the experience of “new roads” that end up with a teaser sketch of the upcoming Urus. We already know the SUV will feature as standard a 650-horsepower (485-kilowatt) biturbo V8, with a plug-in hybrid version coming afterwards – there’s even talk of a fully electric contender.
