Renault has released a new promotional video with the Captur sub-compact crossover.
Renault’s answer to the B-segment for crossovers which includes models like the Nissan Juke, the Mazda CX-3, the Opel Mokka, Chevrolet Trax, Ford EcoSport, Peugeot 2008 and others is called the Captur and it has been around for a couple of years now, but what if the carmaker would like to place it into the spotlights once again? Well, than that’s why we have promotional videos, like the one posted below, which can only be described as a “cliché”.
We won’t be spoilers and tell you all about it but we will remind you that the Renault Captur has been in production since 2013. This is also known as the Renault Samsung QM3 and it is being put together in Valladolid, Spain, riding on the Renault/Nissan B platform which is making it related to the Clio IV and the Juke. The Captur has a 5-door crossover body style, a front engine and a front-wheel drive layout and it has been officially presented to the public at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, in a premiere. The model stands at 4,122 mm long, 1,778 mm wide and 1,567 mm tall, with a curb weight between 1,089 and 1,213 kg. As far as the engine lineup goes, this includes two petrol burners, the 0.9l TCe and the 1.2L TCe, along with the 1.5l dCi diesel burner, connected to a 5-speed manual or to an automatic transmission.
