[VIDEO] Renault Talisman, Laguna’s successor, officially announced image

Renault has released the first teaser video with new upcoming Talisman midsized vehicle, which will be the successor of the Laguna.

The Renault Laguna is getting ready to be left aside but this will be replaced by a newer model, the so-called Talisman. The car manufacturer has even released a first teaser video with such a vehicle but we shouldn’t forget that the company is already offering such a model in China, under the same Talisman moniker, which is a rebadged Samsung SM7.

The new Renault Talisman will be replacing both the Laguna and the Latitude and it will be getting a completely new design on the exterior and in its cabin too. We can notice some perforated leather seats, some wood trim, a head-up display, some two-tone alloy wheels, a chrome bar on the grille, a sculpted hood and so on. The newest addition to the Renault lineup will be riding on the CMF architecture, which is co-developed with Nissan, and it is expected to be actually larger than the current Laguna. This should be put together in Douai, France, and it will be officially unveiled on the 6th of July.

Meanwhile, we will remind you that the Renault Talisman has been introduced on the Chinese automotive market back in 2012, during the Beijing Motor Show. The model in question is being offered with a 2.5 liter V6 engine, capable of putting down 187 HP, along with a larger 3.5 liter V6, good for 254 HP. Both units can be connected to a 6-speed automatic or a CVT but since we are talking about the Old Continent this time, expect smaller and more frugal engines under its hood and a manual entry-level variant. Additional details on the Renault Talisman remain unknown at this time.
