The French based automaker Renault is currently working on a larger crossover which has been recently caught on camera while it was being tested out on public roads.
Renault is planning to develop a larger crossover than the current Captur and it seems that the work on this model is far more advanced than originally believed as a test mule of the vehicle has been recently spotted out while it was being tested near Stuttgart, in Germany. The model has been heavily camouflaged but despite this, it is still showing some familiar details on the radiator grille.
The upcoming Renault SUV has been influenced by the 2011 R-Space concept and also after the Renault Espace. Rumor has it that it will be based on the same platform as the new generation of the Nissan X-Trail, the CMF, and it will be larger than the previous Koleos, in order to differentiate it from the Captur. The vehicle might be taking its power from the 1.6 liter diesel engine which is also found on the Qashqai or on the X-Trail, along with several other vehicles made by Renault. The new Renault SUV is expected to be officially presented to the public during the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
