The brand new BMW i3 has been recently taken out for a full test drive by the guys at ausfahrt.tv in the surroundings of Amsterdam, in the Netherlands.

The BMW i3 has been officially presented to the public more than a month ago, during the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show. The model in question is taking its power from an electric motor, which is providing a total output of 170 HP (125 kW) and 250 Nm (184 lb-ft) of torque. The unit is mated to a single-speed transmission which is sending power to the rear-wheel drive. The model has a driving range of 130-160km (81-99miles) which can be extended with a 650cc two-cylinder petrol engine, providing an extra 34 HP. Prices for the model in the U.S. have been set at 41,350 USD.
