A drag race between the Ferrari LaFerrari hypercar and the McLaren 650S supercar has taken place recently.
Did you ever wonder what the difference in power would be between a hypercar and a “regular” supercar? Well, if so, than the video posted below will be answering that question for you because it is showing a drag race between a Ferrari LaFerrari and a McLaren 650S. The clip is proving that the impressive ride has what it needs to shatter supercars but be aware, if you happen to own a McLaren 650S, a Lamborghini Huracan or a Ferrari 458, you should probably skip the video.
The McLaren 650S has replaced the MP4-12C and it was introduced back in 2014. This is using the same 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine which has been upgraded and it is now capable of putting down 641 HP (478 kW) and 680 Nm (500 lb-ft) of torque. Power is sent to the RWD through a seven-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. This needs 3s to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) and it has a top speed of 333 km/h (207 mph).
The Ferrari LaFerrari on the other hand is a hybrid hypercar introduced in 2013. It is using a 6.3 liter V12 engine and an electric motor to produce a total output of 950 HP (708 kW) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque. This needs less than 3 seconds to reach 100 km/h (62 mph) and it can go all the way up to 350 km/h (217 mph).
