[VIDEO] See a Hennessey-tuned Chevy SS hit 163 mph
The North American based aftermarket specialists at Hennessey Performance have recently released a video with their very own Chevy SS, which is reaching a top speed of 163 mph.
With the Chevrolet SS being officially unveiled back in 2013 and banned in Israel because of its Nazi name, Hennessey has decided to give this good-looker some interesting upgrades which are being highlighted in the video posted below. The model in question has been fitted with the so-called HPE600 package, which is adding features like the new exhaust system, the engine management tuning upgrades, air induction systems, high-flow intercooler systems, suspension upgrades, Brembo brakes and new wheels and tires.
Thanks to all of these modifications, the Chevrolet SS, fitted with the HP600 package, has reached a top speed of 163 mph, or 262 km/h, on the Grand Parkway toll road, in Texas, near Houston. We’re not sure how much the Chevy SS, signed by Hennessey, is putting down, but one thing is for sure, the standard model is getting a 6.2 liter V8 engine under its hood, which is good for 415 HP (310 kW) and 410 lb-ft (563 Nm) of torque. The unit is mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission.
