[VIDEO] See a Lotus Evora 400 accelerate to 260 km/h image

Well, it’s not a hypercar, but it still has what it needs in order to provide you with your daily dose of adrenalin.

The Lotus Evora 400 is returning to our attention once again, this time with the help of a new video, which is showing it in action, on the track. The clip is also revealing its acceleration, for the very first time, which, we have to admit, it’s pretty impressive. Some small drifting can also be spotted in this video and before clicking the play button, you may want to turn your volume up, because you have to hear its engine sound too.

Lotus has officially unveiled the Evora 400 earlier this year and at the beginning of this month (July), the company has announced the production start of the sports car. The model in question has a base starting price of 72,000 GBP in the United Kingdom and over-seas it will be setting its future buyers back for 89,900 USD. The performance vehicle is making use of a 3.5 liter V6 engine, which is producing a total output of 400 HP (298 kW), with a peak torque of 410 Nm (302 lb-ft). The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) acceleration takes just 4.2 seconds and top speed stands at 300 km/h (186 mph). Deliveries of the Lotus Evora 400 are starting in Europe but in the United States and China, the first examples will be arriving in early 2016.
