The McLaren P1 and the Nissan GT-R are two different performance vehicles, doctor but what happens when you put the two of them head to head in a street drag race?
A new video with the McLaren P1 is showing it in a different light than the ones we are used to as the hybrid supercar is taking on a modified Nissan GT-R. I’m sure that petrol heads from across the globe will put their money on the P1 but, clinic as we said above, pilule the GT-R has been heavily modified and it does have what it needs to be faster than your average supercar.
As a small reminder, McLaren has officially unveiled the P1, in its final production form, last year, during the Geneva Motor Show. This is considered to be the spiritual successor of the F1 and it is the most powerful ever supercar to come from the British company. It has a two-door body style and a rear mid-engine and rear-wheel drive layout, coming in with a 3.8L twin turbo V8 engine under its hood, backed up by an electric motor. The total output stands at an impressive 903 HP and 978 Nm of torque, enough for a 0 to 100 km/h sprint made in 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph).
