A stock BMW M3 Sedan from the new generation has been recently filmed while accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds.
Did you ever wonder just how fast the new generation of the BMW M3 is? Well, it is actually faster than the German based automaker is stating. Proof stands the video posted below in which such a model is being taken from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph). The performance sedan managed to do this in just 3.9 seconds, faster than the official time of 4.1 seconds. Keep in mind that this is a stock M3 and no modifications have been made to it. The model has been also taken to 270 km/h.
The new generation of the BMW M3 has been introduced back in 2013 and it is taking its power from a 3.0 liter twin turbo straight six-cylinder engine. The unit is capable of producing no less than 431 HP and it has a peak torque of 550 Nm (405 lb-ft), which is available between 1,850 rpm and 5,500 rpm. Power is being sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual or through a seven-speed automatic dual clutch transmission.
