The Italian based automaker Ferrari has recently released a brand new video with the LaFerrari, in which the F1 driver Fernando Alonso is shown behind the wheel of the brand new supercar.
After it was officially unveiled almost half a year ago, during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, in a world premiere, and then brought to several automotive events across the globe, the impressive Ferrari LaFerrari is ending up in our news once again, this time with the carmaker releasing a new video with the supercar. The footage posted below is showing Fernando Alonso taking the LaFerrari for a quick spin and the model in question is actually a prototype.
As a quick reminder, the Ferrari LaFerrari is the company’s first ever hybrid supercar. The model is rivaling the McLaren P1 and the upcoming Porsche 918 Spyder. The LaFerrari is powered by a 6,262cc V12 engine, producing 800 HP (588 kW) at 9,000 rpm and 700 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm, mated to an electric motor, with 163 HP (120 kW) and 270 Nm of torque (199 lb-ft). The total output stands at 963 HP (708 kW) and it’s enough to allow the supercar to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph). Prices for the LaFerrari have been set at 1,3 million euros and only 499 units will be created.
