One of the most famous petrol heads out there, Jay Leno, has recently went for a spin in the brand new 2014 Cadillac ELR.
After it was officially presented to the public, in its final production form, in a world premiere, back in January 2013, during the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, the 2014 Cadillac ELD is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the help of a new video. As a quick reminder, the 2014 Cadillac ELR has a 16.5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack which is weighing 198 kg (435 lbs). Charging it from a 240V outlet takes 4.5 hours and when using a 120V outlet, the battery will be filled in 12 hours. A range extender in the shape of a 1.4 liter gasoline unit will allow the powertrain to develop a total output of 207 HP (154 kW) and 400 Nm of torque (295 lb-ft). The model has a 2+2 layout, a luxurious cabin, chrome accents, wood inserts, an 8-inch configurable instrument and driver info display, electric power steering, ZF steering gear and more.
