The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz has released a video in which the new generation of the C-Class is having its safety systems tested by Michael Schumacher.
After the new generation of the Mercedes-Benz C-Class has leaked, two days in a row, the model is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time in an official way, with the help of the carmaker, which has released a video with the vehicle in which Michael Schumacher is testing its safety systems. The clip posted below isn’t revealing too much on the new C-Class generation, which we know that it will offer a variety of safety systems, including the Collision Prevention Assist Plus.
“It is enormously enjoyable to work with Michael Schumacher. He is not only sensationally good at maneuvering cars, he has an extraordinary understanding of technology and driving physics combined with the ability to identify potential solutions precisely and rapidly. I think this cooperation will bear a great deal of fruit in the future. Our shared aim is more safety for all road users”, said Jochen Hermann, the Mercedes-Benz director of Driver Assistance Systems and Active Safety.
The 2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class will also receive some features like the Active Lane Keeping Assist, the Active Blind Spot Assist, the Brake Assist Plus, the Pre-Safe Brake, the Distronic Plus with Steering Assist and Stop&Go and some other safety “gadgets”. The new C-Class generation is believed to be officially unveiled this month, ahead of its public debut, scheduled for the 2014 NAIAS in Detroit, in January.
