One of the hottest hot hatches money can buy, the Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG, has been recently taken to a go-kart track, in order to prove its skills.
Did you ever wonder what the “handles like a go-kart” phrase actually means? Well don’t worry if you didn’t, you’re probably not the only one, but happily someone did, and we have to admit that the footage looks and sounds quite impressive. The German premium hot hatch can be seen in the clip posted below in action, on the Capital Karts’ go-kart track, the largest one in the United Kingdom. The A45 AMG is following a red C63 AMG.
This particular Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG has been modified by Rebellion Automotive and it has been fitted with a Stage 1 kit. This is giving it a power boost of 42 HP and 77 Nm of torque, which brings its total output to 400 HP and 530 Nm of torque. This is translated into a 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) sprint made in just 4 seconds and a 0 to 100 mph (160 km/h) acceleration made in 9.5 seconds.
