We can say a lot of things about Ford but we have to admit that the company sure knows how to promote its new models and with the Mustang being in its new generation and offered officially in Europe, some interesting marketing schemes were expected. The clip posted below is showing us the range-topping version of the muscle car, in tis Euro-spec, in action on the Lommel Proving Ground in Belgium. The clip posted below is showing a lot of drifting action and also an overview of the model.
The new Ford Mustang is being offered in two versions on the Old Continent, the Mustang EcoBoost and the Mustang GT. Over-seas, customers also get an entry-level V6 powered model. The Ford Mustang EcoBoost has a 2.3 liter four-cylinder EcoBoost engine and this is the first time when the blue oval is adding a four-cylinder engine to its pony car. This is capable of producing a total of 317 HP (233 kW) and 432 Nm (318 lb-ft) of torque. From 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) this needs just 5.8 seconds and the fuel consumption stands at 8.0 liters / 100 km. The range-topping model, the Mustang GT, has a 5.0 liter V8 engine under its hood, producing 421 HP (309 kW) and 530 Nm (390 lb-ft) of torque. This needs 4.8 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph).
